How Far from?
Gothenburg is Sweden’s second biggest city, and the most important port in Scandinavia. Its most popular tourist attraction is without doubt the Liseberg Amusement Park, which has been operating for nearly 80 years. Open all year round, there are over 30 different rides, and a theatre which hosts musical shows. In the winter months the Christmas Market takes place, the biggest of its kind in Scandinavia, with an ice bar and many seasonal foodie treats.

The Elfsborg Fortress is of interest as it illustrates the past conflict between Sweden and Denmark. Formerly used as coastal defence, it is now open to the public and guided tours are given.

The Goteborg Botanical Garden is rather special, featuring a bamboo grove, Japanese garden, herb gardens, and many exotic flowers from all over the world it is sure to delight any green-fingered enthusiast.

Aside from these attractions there are countless cafes, shops, theatres, restaurants and bars to provide further entertainment.
